I am a student at Brigham Young University. My major is Information Systems. I am a freshman and loving my experience here. I enjoy all things outdoors and I love to make music.
I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Portland, Oregon from June 2014 through June 2016.
I grew up working on a small farm in Gunnison Utah. We own about 30 acres and grow alfalfa and Barley. We also raise animals. Our operation isn't very big, but we do have a few pigs and cows, some chickens, sheep, and a growing herd of alpacas.
In addition to having a farm, my family also owns a farm-supply store named Hermansen's Mill. It has been in business for 103 years now and serves all of the local farmers' needs. We carry seed, fertilizer, lawn and garden supplies, animal feeds, and vaccines. I have worked there for three years. Recently, I have been working on creating a website for the company.
On June 21, 2016 I returned home to Utah after serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was assigned to labor in the Oregon Portland Mission. It was the most incredible experience of my life. While there I taught others about the life, mission, and teachings of Jesus Christ. In addition to religious service, I provided service at food banks, rest homes, and soup kitchens in addition to providing service for individuals.
Throughout my life I have been involved in numerous service projects with the Boy Scouts of America. Most notable of these projects involved building and painting new bathrooms in the Manti City Park.
